wiki:incomplete

Incomplete

A wiki page that comprises already more information than a stub while still having some issues (missing examples, missing details in discussion, etc.) is called incomplete. When it is enhanced it may eventually get the status complete.

To get the status incomplete a principle wiki page needs to have at least the following information:

  • Context
  • Principle Statement
  • Description (at least one paragraph explaining the core idea)
  • Rationale (at least one paragraph)
  • Origin (at least a link or a comparable reference to the primary source of the principle; if there is no primary source, an explanation of the origin has to be given); alternatively some references in the further reading section may be used

For patterns the following information has to be given:

  • Context
  • Intent
  • Problem
  • Solution: (at least the section on structure: a diagram (if applicable + one explaining paragraph)
  • Origin (at least a link or a comparable reference to the primary source of the pattern; if there is no primary source, an explanation of the origin has to be given); alternatively some references in the further reading section may be used

In order to see which wiki pages are incomplete, use the backlinks feature of the wiki software.
